Product	SolOBufferTM Cell Lysis Kit
Description	SolOBufferTM Cell Lysis Kit utilizes a specially formulated cell lysis buffer that uses non-denaturing detergents to prepare cell lysates for biological assays.
Volume	200 mL SolObufferTM; 100l Protease inhibitor cocktail A and B (each).
Storage	Store at 4⁰C. Store Protease inhibitor cocktail A and B at -20⁰C. Approximate shelf life is six months
Applications	Protein characterization and Enzymatic activity assays.

Protocol

Recommended volume for tissue protein extraction is 4-6 mL/g of tissue or
1-2 mL for 106 cells.
Aliquot desired volume of SolOBufferTM.
Add 1µL of Protease inhibitor A and 1 µl of Protease inhibitor B to 2 mL of SolOBufferTM
immediately before use.
Protease inhibitors are not stable in SolOBufferTM, so be sure to only make what is needed.
Add desired volume of SolOBufferTM to the sample and disrupt the tissues/cells via
mechanical disruption or sonication for 5 seconds.
Keep samples on ice for 15 minutes.
Centrifuge for 3 minutes at 12000 XG (microfuge)
In some cases where small pellet may remain which contains cell debris and
other insoluble material.
Solubilized sample can be used directly in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation
without need to remove any detergents.
