May I know whether this antibody (cat# GLUT3-FITC) recognizes the protein at the extracellular region or the cytoplasmic region?
1. We have two GLUT 3 antibodies. Both antibodies are directed towards the C-terminal end of the protein that is cytoplasmic. The GLUT3-301AP is rat/mouse specific antibody and GLUT3-312AP is human cross reactive antibody. The GLUT3-301AP epitope resides between AA 481-493 (Accession # NP_058798) of the rat GLUT 3 protein and GLUT3-312AP epitope lies between AA 473-491 (Accession # NP_008862) of the human Glut 3 protein. GLUT3-312AP will also bind to GLUT14 protein.
