About this target
Water cahnnel promoting glycerol permeability and water transport. Contributes to water transport in upper portion of small intestine. Contain two tandem repeats each with three membrane-spanning domains and a pore-forming loop with the signature motif Asn-Pro-Ala. Subcellular location: Membrane; Multi-pass protein. Expression: Duodenum and jejunum. Highest expression in absorptive epithelial cells at the tips of villi in the jejunum.
