About this target
Non-receptor tyrosine kinase invovled in B lymphocyte development. PH domain mediates binding to inositol polyphosphate and phosphoinositides, leading to its targeting with plasma membrane. Extended in the BTK kinase family by a region designated Tec homology domain, which has roughly 80 residues preceding SH3 domain. Subcellular location: Cytoplasm; Cell Membrane; Peripheral membrane: Nucleus. In steady state BTK is predominantly cytosolic.. Expression: B-lymphocytes.
