About this target
Antigenic blocking peptide for the FabGennix NAPSIN A rabbit polyclonal antibodies (NAP-101AP, NAP-112AP). Pre-incubating the antibody with this peptide before staining is a standard competition control to confirm that the signal is specific to the target. May be involved in processing of pneumocyte surfactant precursors. Belongs to the peptidase A1 family. Subcellular location: alveolar lamellar body;extracellular space;extracellular vesicular exosome;lysosome. Expression: Expressed predominantly in adult lung (type II pneumocytes) and kidney and in fetal lung. Low levels in adult spleen and very low levels in peripheral blood leukocytes.
