About this target
NEDD4 Blocking Peptide is the antigenic blocking peptide for the NEDD4 antibody NEDD4-101AP. Pre-incubating the antibody with the peptide competes away specific binding, which helps confirm that a signal comes from the intended target. Supplied at 250 µg, for research use only. E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase which accepts ubiquitin from an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme in the form of a thioester and then directly transfers the ubiquitin to targeted substrates. Specifically ubiquitinates 'Lys-63' in target proteins. Involved in the pathway leading to the degradation of VEGFR-2/KDFR, independently of its ubiquitin-ligase activity. Monoubiquitinates IGF1R at multiple sites, thus leading to receptor internalization and degradation in lysosomes. Ubiquitinates FGFR1, leading to receptor internalization and degradation in lysosomes. Promotes ubiquitination of RAPGEF2. Subcellular location: Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Cell membrane; Peripheral membrane protein. Note=Predominantly cytoplasmic but also located in the nucleus. Recruited to the plasma membrane by GRB10.
