About this target
Antigenic blocking peptide for the FabGennix PBR rabbit polyclonal antibody (TSPO-101AP). Pre-incubating the antibody with this peptide before staining is a standard competition control to confirm that the signal is specific to the target. Can bind protoporphyrin IX and may play a role in transport of porphyrins and heme. Promotes transport of cholesterol across mitochondrial membranes and may play a role in lipid metabolism. Subcellular location: Mitochondrian membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein. Expression: Found in many tissue types. Expressed at the highest levels under normal conditions in tissues that synthesize steroids.
