Mediates chloride-bicarbonate exchange with a chloride bicarbonate stoichiometry of 2:1 in the intestinal epithelia. Plays a role in the chloride and bicarbonate homeostasis during sperm epididymal maturation and capacitation. Subcellular location: Apical cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
