About this target
CXCR1 Blocking Peptide is the antigenic blocking peptide for the CXCR1 antibody CXCR1-101AP. Pre-incubating the antibody with the peptide competes away specific binding, which helps confirm that a signal comes from the intended target. Supplied at 250 µg, for research use only. Receptor to interleukin-8, which is a powerful neutrophils chemotactic factor. Binding of IL-8 to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils. This response is mediated via a G protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
