Your datasheets states this antibody was raised against "aa 1-70 of ACTH." However, ACTH (AKA corticotropin) is only a 38 aa protein (aa 138-176 of POMC) that is formed from cleavage of POMC, see the uniprot file below. I wanted to confirm if this antibody was raised against amino acids 1-70 or 138-176 of POMC. http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P01189
- The ACTH antibodies were raised against 39 amino acid ACTH hormone. The Specification sheet specifies the range from where the peptide was selected. In this case the 39 AA are the complete ACTH hormone.

What is the percentage of homology between the immune source sequence of this antibody and the dog sequence?
- Thank you for your email inquiry for the homology of our product ACTH-101AP with dog sequence. The antigen used for generating our ACTH antibody is 99.00% homologous to dog (Canis Lupus familiaris) ACTH sequence except for a single conservative substitution of Leucine to valine near the C-terminal end. OUr antibody wil label and detect dog ACTH peptide.
